Four charged in separate domestic disturbances

Arriving at the Black Forest Inn on Route 44 in Brown Township to handle a domestic disturbance involving a couple about 9 p.m. on Saturday, state troopers saw paramedics treating a woman who “appeared to be in extreme pain. Her right arm was in a splint, and whenever a paramedic moved or touched it, she would scream out in pain,” according to an affidavit. The woman reported that during an altercation with her husband, David Michael Foley, in the couple’s guest room, “Foley grabbed the woman’s arm and was punching it when he pushed her to the floor,” the affidavit stated. When questioned, Foley, 58, of Lock Haven, admitted that the argument turned “physical,” police said. Foley did not remember what the two were arguing about, police said. Following his arraignment hours later before District Judge William Solomon on charges of simple assault and harassment, he was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. It was unknown if the assault victim was taken to a hospital.

In another case, Keith David King, 63, of 2500 Federal Ave., unit 348, has been charged with two counts each of terroristic threats and simple assault following a domestic disturbance with a woman and her son, telling them both that “You’re dead’ while holding a knife in his hand in the 2400 block of Linn St. on Jan. 12, city police alleged in an affidavit. The mother and son had already fled one house after King threw a chair at the son, striking him in the back, police alleged. Initially jailed following his arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman, King has since been released and waived his preliminary hearing.

In another case, Marcus David White, 18, of 931 Franklin St., was jailed on two counts each of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault after he grabbed his disabled foster mother and violently threw her to the floor during a disturbance in the home they share about 5:45 p.m. Saturday, city police alleged in an affidavit. He then took hold of a 16-year-old girl who was in the house, police said, grabbing her by the arm, neck and head, and “tossing” her about, causing injuries to her head and possible internal injuries, the affidavit stated. The foster mother told police she was “petrified,” fearing what might happen to her if White, who fled the house, returned to the property. White did return to the scene, and was taken into custody about a block away after fleeing yet again, police said. Following his arraignment before Solomon, White was locked up in lieu of $25,000 bail.

In another case, while in a “heavily intoxicated” state, Laurel Kathryn Green, 43, of 62 Wagner Ave., Montgomery, repeatedly punched her teenage daughter in the face when the girl tried to stop an argument between her mother and Green’s boyfriend during an incident at the family’s home on Dec. 1, state police alleged in court records. Green was held for court last week on misdemeanor charges of simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child following a preliminary hearing before District Judge Kirsten Gardner. She is free on $5,000 bail. The teen suffered eye injuries as a result of the assault, police said.
